Post your final project report with this category (“Final Project Report”).
As explained, the chief criterion for a project report is to what extent someone else could replicate your project from your explanation. Your report should encompass:
- high-level description of the project (a few sentences – to a few paragraphs) explaining the purpose and rationale for the project: Why this project?
- an explanation of how it works, using text, diagrams, photographs, video as needed.
- a description of the project in use (i.e., from the user’s perspective), including photographs, video, text, etc.
- links to technical details (e.g., github repository).
There’s a balance between a skimpy report that doesn’t thoroughly convey the sense of the project and a report that drowns the reader in needless detail. It takes time and effort to strike an appropriate balance. Mark Twain said, “I didn’t have time to write a short letter, so I wrote a long one instead.” Don’t fall prey to this bug: take the time to document your work so that others can enjoy the fruits of your labor.
