Audio Visualizer w/ processing and arduino

So far I have explored the possibilities of a processing library called minim. I have a simple visualizer that breaks up the sound into different bands so each can be visualized individually. My two biggest hurdles are getting to know how processing interacts with the sound data, and how to send that to an arduino board in the most flexible manner. I would like the program to show a cool visualization as well as have the code ready to connect to any setup on an arduino board. My reach goal involves using the firefly plugin for grasshopper to be able to use some sort of flex sensor to change an aspect of the music.
